Just about everyday somebody asks to see examples of blogs from a variety of sources and using different blog platforms and showing a number of different styles for posting and design. I will add to this list on a regular basis.
CITY COUNCIL BLOGS–

CHURCH BLOGS–
- Apache Lutheran Churches, a group of Wisconsin Synod Lutheran Churches in the White Mountains of Arizona and the Fort Apache area serving the Apache Indian Reservation.
- Church of the Resurrection on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., a church of the Anglican Mission In America, a multi-site church attended by many Gen X and Y members.
- Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, a LCMS church in Charleston, S.C. which uses blog infrastructure for its new website.
- Holy Comforter Lutheran Church in Kingwood, TX, an ELCA church which uses a blog as the infrastructure for its website.
- Lewis and Clark Bible Church in Astoria, OR which had 85 posts for 2008.
- Living Hope Vineyard Church in Lansing, MI, a small church which on its website talks about its focus on outreach to city neighborhoods and to its emphasis on using Jesus Christ as a model for ministry.
- Northwest Bible Church in St. Michael, MN which uses a blog infrastructure for its website.
- Riverview Church in Holt, MI where Pastor Noel Heikkinen has established a blog to help attenders and members participate in a year-long Bible study. Participants are given a schedule and given an opportunity to share online what they learn.
- St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Charlestown, Rhode Island which is built on a “blogger” platform.
- Waterfront Community Church in Schaumberg, Illinois which was featured on NBC News for its generous paradigm for giving to people in need.

- Former U.S. Rep. Bob Beauprez from Colorado has this blog. Wonder if he had a blog when he was in Congress?
LOCAL GOVERNMENT BLOGS–
- Annapolis (Maryland) City Politics by Republican Brian Gill.
- The Blogging Mayor of Round Lake by village mayor Bill Gentes who actively posts about his and nearby northern Illinois communities.
- Court Rosen: Forward Together, a Roanoke, VA city council member, recently elected blogs his service from the start of his service.
MISSION BLOGS–
- Bike4Mali: Blog about a New York pastor’s bike trip to raise money for a Mali hospital in West Africa.
- Let the Nations Be Glad: A mission to the disabled in Cameroon.
- McMali blog by Thom and Amanda McMurray, two missionaries in Bamako, Mali. Thom is affiliated with the Christian Missionary Alliance who will soon move to Senegal.
- Missions Minded-Christ For The City: Blog maintained by Nathan and Amber Babcock, American missionaries to Nicaragua. Even though I’ve never met them, I’ve followed their blog and feel like I know them and their ministry through their blog.
- Voice of the Martyrs’ blog which reports on persecution of Christians around the world. I’m familiar with the organization, but haven’t follow the blog, but I will.
PASTOR BLOGS–
- Pastor Rob Appold Blog: He’s pastor of a Lutheran church in the Grand Rapids (MI) area who blogged about his trip to Israel and who wants to keep blogging after his return.
- Pastor Kevin DeYoung of University Reformed Church in East Lansing, MI who writes Restless and Reformed. Check his writing voice. He has two posts and I wanted to read more. I will probably end up checking out a service at his church.
- Pastor Mark Lepper: He’s a pastor at St. John’s Lutheran Church-ELCA in Belle Plain, MN and blogs using blogger.com and has an easy-to-follow first person writing voice.
- Father Jack Lumanog of Christ the King Anglican Church in DeWitt (MI), a member of the Anglican Mission in America movement. This is his personal blog.
- Pastor Brad Mitchell of Myrtle Beach, SC, former pastor of Trinity Church in Lansing MI who now writes the blog, Running the Race.
- Rev. Jared Tucher of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod in Wyoming.

- Oregon Catalyst, an online gathering spot for political conservatives in the state of Oregon.

- 52 Lee Street, a real estate blog, from Connect2Agent, a national network of real estate agents.
STATE LEGISLATOR BLOGS–
- IL State Rep. John Fritchey who uses the blogging platform from Google, Blogger.
- Maine State Rep. Kathy Chase who has been blogging since March of 2007.
- MI State Sen. Cameron Brown blog: A 54-year-old state lawmaker and conservative Republican he writes about issues and other items of concern to him.
- NM State Senator Dede Feldman who uses the Typepad blogging platform for her blog.
- NC State Rep. Ty Harrell who blogged during last fall’s campaign, took a pause and then restarted in January.
- SC State Sen. Kevin Bryant who says he has his legislature’s first blog.

- WI State Senator Mary Lazich: She’s a veteran legislator who’s a regular blogger where she clearly shows her conservative leanings.
